pioneer vsx-d1s pseakers relay

My pioneer vsx-d1s is acting funny when I switch it on the speakers and audio jack relay does not connect or it takes forever (one hour) then disconnect again I disconnected all speakers and no changes no audio on the audio jack my conclusion it is not a overload problem. I do have the service manual but had no time to look at it. if someone fixed that problem it would save me some time.
