|Would appreciate any advice on some issues I'm having with a Eurovox 1050 stacker.
I recently replaced my old Eurovox 1020 stacker with a new 1050 stacker. (Replaced the 1020 because it kept giving E4 errors.) The new stacker worked fine on initial installation, changing disks and tracks as normal, controlled by my original head unit, which is a Eurovox 7479S.
But, after a short period (i.e. minutes) it ceases to respond to disk or track change signals from the head unit. If disconnected and reconnected, it will repeat the cycle of initial responsiveness, followed shortly later by lack of response. It still plays the CDs OK, just won't respond to signals about disk or track changes.
I reconnected my old 1020 stacker and it does not have this issue, happily responding to the head unit. I'm wondering if there was some change to the control signals or interaction between the stacker and head unit in the evolution of the stackers.
Does anyone have an explanation for the behaviour of the new stacker? And is there a remedy?
Hoping for a cure.
