Hi, I am a genuine noob with electronics but mean to give it a try. I read in an article that individual components on the board can not be checked while in circuit. Does this mean that each piece to be tested would need to be desoldered? Any light on the subject would be appreciated. Thank you. |

It all depends on what you have. There are several basic ways to check some components in circuit, however there are cases where it may be necessary to isolate them--too broad of a question.
It is not something to learn right away; First you need to be familiar and know the function of each device and it's parameters. Also, how a device suppose to check with a meter ....etc. Suggest doing a google search on how to test various electronic components. |
