Hi, I have a Yamaha RX-V800 amp and when pressing the power button I can hear the power relay click and the display screen powers up and then half a second later turns off and the relay clicks again and the process continues over and over untill I de-press the on/off button.
I have the service manual, fuses ok, maybe a capacitor not holding charge...!?
Any Help would be much appreciated.

Could be anything from a power supply or shorted output(s) on any of the audio channels. There is a diagnostic procedure that will point you to the area along with a history. Read up and get familiar-- Starts at page 10 of the paper manual (or page 11, if you have the PDF).
