I have a Emerson TV/VCR Combo unit. When you power on the TV
using the remote or manually at the TV, it comes on then shuts right
back off. The model of the TV is EWC1902 |

Can you hear any high voltage, when the TV starts?
if not, try to measure the secundairy voltages, and so check if there are shorted ciruits on the mainboard!
The primairy power supply will shut down when ever a short is detected on the secundary side (e.g. highvoltage or deflection circuit)
Good luck,

I have the same problem with ours. It started when a cassette got stuck and we removed it. Now when ever you turn on the tv it shuts off a few seconds later. I read your fix but I know nothing about tvs. Is there a simpler explanation or book we can refer to. |

I dont think you should try to repair your TV if you have no knowledge about the electronics inside. There are a few high voltages, which could be very dangerous! |

Unit will not power on at all. I am an electronic tech. Fuse on power-in circuit is good. I do not have access to the schematics. What is most logical cause of the problem.?I have good a-c power to the unit. |

I have similar problem and can't solve it for two weeks. I called to repair company, they sent a person, who learned everything carefully and said that he needs additional parts and is going to consult with other specialist. Since then I haven't heard anything from him. I hate such situations. _________________ If you want to write a review about equipment or electronics manufacturer, you can do it on PissedConsumer: https://www.pissedconsumer.com |
