Amilo D 8800 screen goes dim when I connect mains power

Hello!
Anyone ever see this problem occur in any laptop? On connecting the power supply, the screen goes almost black. You can still faintly see what is on the screen. I tested the power supply and it seems to work ok. When you disconnect the power supply, the screen works fine. Any ideas? Please email me at [email protected], thanks

conect the psu removing the batrie does this work , check the charging cercket of the laptop and all elce fails run a psu direcly to the batry terminis (not the adabter that comes with laptop)
