My receiver is shutting down after powering up. I found a defective transistor, elec cap, and 4 emitter resistors in the center channel output stage. The shut down still occurs. I removed all the output transistors to avoid further damage.
After isolating the different sections, I was able to stop the shutdown after removing a series resistor from the mute B+ circuit (R570) on the connector board. There was a shorted zener (D565), which I replaced, but that did not correct the problem.
Anyone familiar with this? Perhaps you can take a look at the schem in service man and help me figure this out. |
