If the power supply unit is the same as a power adapter, I got mine at 12vAdapters.com for pretty cheap.

I took the remains of my old blown capacitor off today and I think C33 on my Power Supply board was a 33uf 35V but when I replaced it the TV still wouldn't power up all the way and I could hear something starting to fry again. I suspect something else is causing that capacitor to get overloaded. I just went on ahead and paid the $60 to order a new Power Supply from ViewSonic. Now I'll just have to wait up to 90 days to get it since they're out of stock.

Hi. i have the problem with the buzz sound and the screen kept blinking, so which one should i change? i took the whole silver thing out from the left hand side, should i change that whole thing? was the one you ordered for $60 is the whole thing that the one i talking about? where did u find it, could u send me the link or so? thank you, i'm much appreciated.

I send an email to FSP asking about which P/S works with my N3250W, and here is my email...

Hi, i have question about the power supply for the LCD TV. I think everyone is having trouble with their ViewSonic N3250W 32" LCD TV, I read some forum and they said they fixed their TV with you guys' power supply. I want to know if you could help me find out which power supply that I need to order to get it fix? I don't know which information you need from the original part, but here are something I see on it.

Darfon 4H.B0280.001 /C2
My part is the same as the pictures in this site.

Got an email from FSP recently, they say this...

Quote:
Thank you for contacting FSP Group USA.

The board for the ViewSonic that some of the repair board members mentioned getting from FSP is for the ViewSonic N3260W because the original board is an FSP part.
Unfortunately I have no way of cross-referencing the Darfon part.
IF YOU think the same part will work for your unit you can contact: www.ramplus.com or call (866) 544-9925 and please make sure to check the return policy.

So what I think is the N3260W P/S would work on the N3250W?

I don't visit here for 2 monthes...

http://www.ramplus.com/fsfspopfrpos.html
price is great low!

I had no time to investigate more and also I have attempted to ask to receive bad boards but no success.
If someone may send me bad board by USPS (from USA) to france, send me an e-mail.
Cost should be less than 15 $, I may pay by Paypal.

Also for the fixed board with diodes I have no more under the hand because I had to give back the LCD TV to the owner 1 week ago.

Update:
I took N3260W off its perch fairly close to the ceiling. I have replaced it with a different model. I tested the N3260W in a location which remains cooler. The problem has not come back but I have not used it much lately either. Could have been some kind of thermal shutdown mechanism kicking in.

"sdutango", I have sent you a PM (Private Message) yesterday.
Don't read it?
I prefer e-mail.

N3260W is not the same product externaly than N3250W
The picture of FSP228... may be not the true picture.
FSP is also in europe (UK and DE) but this product seems not in the local portfolio.

I was near to buy it but shipping cost is 45$ to France.
RAMPLUS is a distributor recommended by FSP USA , then new part.

I wil ask to output connectors details.
.

I had requested pinout details to a french distributor.
I wait.
3 in france, the european distributor:
http://www.fortron-source.de/
see "contact us"

see also for UK
http://www.fspgroup.co.uk/u.k/

about the picture of FSP228-3F01
on http://www.fspgroupusa.com/LCD_TV/fsplcdtv2.asp
the picture is unique (then picture should be the true) , output connector not match for N3250W model because one (12v,Gnd,5v,12v,Pwon, control for backlight) is the wires soldered on the board.
see http://pagesperso-orange.fr/alain.mionnet/img/darfon10.jpg
For voltage and current, ok for nominal specs.

I have received data sheet and drawing fsp 228-3F01

It is neccessary to remove the connector and solder the wires from the Darfon. A little work but possible to do.
Signal seems similar only not at the same place.
The best should be to have the fsp 228-3F01

I wait price and delivery for here and if possible to have a board as demo.

Local FSP distributor in france gives me a price of 73 euro (VAT to be added), 4 weeks delivery time.
For a loan, FSP was busy with an exhibition in China and no news.

"sdutango" have find an other link on lcdpart web site.
http://www.lcdparts.net/PowerSupplyDetail.aspx?PartNumber=4H.B0280.001MSS
who shows a good connector for the main board.
140$ looks still too much...
when I saw in a supermarket a new 32 inch LCD TV Toshiba with TNT tuner @ 649 euro....
