Hi,

My Sony DVP-C600D DVD Carousel Player stopped working suddenly. It was playing fine, and I stopped the DVD I was watching, then I used a new Universal Remote from GE to turn it back on. It immediately failed and gave a "service number" of E:06:00 on the display, then it powers back of.

I have left it unplugged for weeks and retried. It always powers on, gives the E:06:00 "service number", then powers back off.

Of course Sony says there's no way a remote could cause this, but unless it "happened" to fail in about a 10 second period, the remote killed it.

Has anyone seen this or, better yet, know how to repair it?
