I have a Hitachi 43UWX10B with a convergence problem. I removed the board and RK42 is obviously burnt. Can I just replace this resistor and NOT the IC's or do you think the IC fried the resistor. I would rather not have to replace the IC's.

The resistor fries because the IC's fail.
