toshiba 32 afx61 remote problem

My tv(toshiba 32afx61) is about 5yrs old and it no longer responds to commands sent to it from the remote. I have tried the original remote for the tv and several other universal remots and none of them work. Is there any suggestions?

Hold original up to cell phone camera. That will confirm it is putting out infrared.
Since you say you've already tried (ALL) Toshiba codes with a number of universals...problem is most likely in TV.
I've seen many infrared receivers go bad. Quickest way is to swap out the receiver.
