JVC AV-27020 brightness

27" JVC was zapped by lightning a couple years back, got it fixed by a TV repair shop, but lost the Video-In component jack (S-video still works thank goodness) and the brightness is practically non-existant. I have it adjusted all the way up, and it's still very dark, especially if the images on the screen are dark. Is there someone on the board in the TV that can be adjusted to increase the brightness beyond the TV setting menu's max? Maybe some kind of slider/switch? Anyone have a schematic? Again, the TV is a JVC AV-27020.

Take off the back cover and there should be 2 adjustments on the flyback. (Usually right hand corner w/the red wire coming out of it.) One is screen which you want, and one is for focus.
