[Confused and Lost]

I have a panasonic cd stereo system model sa-ak500. Every time i put a cd into the cd changer I get a message on the display that says "No Disc". It won't recognize a disc in any of the 5 slots. No matter if the disc is a regular music cd or a cd-rw. The cd changer itself works fine, and so does the radio and casset player. Is there any way I might be able to fix this?
