First of all, great informative forum. Thanks to those that have figured this out.

My N3251W died yesterday. Any posters from Canada that have found a Canadian supplier for the FSP212-3F02?

Regarding the N3251W FSP212-3F02 + Adapter:

I'll keep a record of who I have contacted and update you guys with prices. With the cdn dollar so high this search might be useless as I'll probably just buy it in the states.

ALLWAY TECHNOLOGIES INC.
BEST PARTNERS
ELCO SYSTEM INC.

I fixed my N3250W with an external 24 volt power supply. I also ordered some N3856 chips and just got them this week. I can sell you one for $10 if you want to try that fix instead of replacing the supply...

Ok I finally ordered my power supply today from Ramplus.com. They recently added the option to buy the adapter cable which is required to go between the existing board on the TV and the new FSP212-3F02 power supply (original model that came with TV: FSP212-3F01)

So those interested in prices (Power supply and adapter cable):
Ramplus: 59.99 + shipping (yes in stock April 7, 2010)
Electronica-usa: 73.85 + shipping (none in stock April 7, 2010)
Viewsonic (only selling the old FSP212-3F01): 133.82 + shipping (Yes in stock April 7, 2010)

Shipping to Canada varied but overall it was cheapest from Ramplus and they seemed to be set up pretty good for shipping to Canada.

I will come back and tell you how it worked or didn't work.

And further to my past posts to find a seller in Canada:
Allway Technologies Inc. did not sell them
Best Partners Enterprises Corp. only sold minimum orders of 108 power supplies at $35 each
ELCO SYSTEM INC. never got back to me

minnie-me: did you ever get the N3856 to work? That external 24v power supply is pretty clever but I don't think the wife would like that too much in the living room. And I think eventually this will be the secondary bedroom wall tv so it would just end up being a pain!

I have not had time to play with the Viewsonic (its a N3252W, not 3250, my mistake in the previous post). It is still in the basement with all my other toys, so having an external power supply attached to the set with short jumper wires is not a problem. The back is left open... The g/f has a set in the living room, bedroom, family room and I have 3 or 4 working sets in the basement. Not counting the ones in the hallway waiting to be sold. I had to make an order for electronic parts and needed to meet a mininum amount so I added these power supply chips to the order. Trying to sell the extra ones. All the LCD sets I have are ones I fixed except for 1 that I bought (42" Sharp).

I replaced the psb with a replacement psb. the installed model had a burnt transformer. The replacement board is working good so far. the transformer could not be replaced due to no replacement part available.

So I have a N3250W that doesn't turn on, no led or any response when plugged in. It seems to be a fault psu that's been discussed in this thread but my issue is disassembling the lcd. I've removed the screws and located the slats on the tv but even when I attempt loosen the clips and try to separate the back from the front it won't come off. I saw someone say about standing the tv up, then getting the clips, and slowly working the panel off but I didn';t seem to make any progress. Any time I would start trying to unclip one side the other side would pop back into place. Are there any tips or suggestions sfor this? The tv is only 2 years old but If I can get it open I can try diagnosing the components or ordering a replacement board. Any tips?

Thanks
