Ferg m7022u, cant get serv. mode!!!!

Hi, I have a ferg M7022u chassis no:625r/12017. Try to enter service prog the usual way, all I get is Hotel mode. Can anyone help? The brightness is to low, even when it is on full in the menu, maybe able to change it in serv. mode. Help! I tried holding the two buttons(vol+ and prog+) I think it was and pressing standby but all I got was a blinking standby light.
