Vizio VW42L LCD - Display Problem

I have a VW42L that I can power up and for about 5 seconds I get a good picture, sound, etc. After that 5 or so seconds the unit goes to multiple color bars (vertical) across the screen and makes a screeching noise. I can turn it off (have to unplug) and let it sit for a few minutes and then it will do the same thing again.

I am thinking that maybe this is the power board with a issue. Has anybody else had this issue and if so what turned out to be the fix?

Did you take the back off and check the inverters for bulged caps?
