MY 11 YEARS OLD TV IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. IT TAKES A LOT TO SWICHT ON SPECIALLY WHEN IS OFF FOR A LONG TIME. AFTER 3 OR 4 TRIES THE IMAGE APPEARS IN A SLIGHTY RED COLOUR THAT FADE AFTER 5-10 MINUTES. THEN IT WORKS PERFECT FOR HOURS.
ANY IDEA ABOUT THIS PROBLEM ?

Replace the electrolytic capacitors at the primary side of the power supply, all the small ones, not the big one. Resolder dry joints (worn out by heat) and try again. Carefully check whole chassis for dry joints. Parts mounted on heatsinks are normally bad soldered (vertical amp, sound ampflifiers, line output transistor).
