LG LCD TV and plasma tv problem

First of all i want to thanks the owners of this forum because this kind of forums helps a lot of people around the world. I have a problem with my 2 LG tv one is plasma and another one is lcd. When i power on them nothing happens but only a box on in the screen showing the software version. Can somebody help what to do to fix them ???

first of all is your remote working can you turn the set off and on, if so open your menu and see what that says , then go to set up and then program ,see what happens, let me know,.
