Hiya all.
I have been working on a DENON AVR-1604 with a shut down problem. I read in another post that the 15 volt regulators can be the cause of this but they tested OK. I eventually tracked it down to C204, an electrolytic in the CPU reset circuit on the CPU board. It tested OK though the capacitance was on the low side of the tolerance margin. It is a 4.7uF 50V capacitor. I guess the reset pulse was not long enough for the processor to start up. The processor controls a relay which fires up the main supplies. I did replace C161 and C157 on the main board too but I am pretty sure C204 was the culprit.
Good luck. |
