You gave three options.
I agreed that it could be any of the three.
Personally, I'd start with a good visual inspection of ALL boards, looking for anything that looks abnormal. Discolored areas or components, loose connectors/wires, leaking or 'puffed' electrolytic capacitors, etc.
If connectors are labeled, compare normal (non-shaking) voltage readings with readings when shaking occurs.

Visual (magnifying eye) and Scent inspection passed.
Can not see any suspicious capacitors, resistors, leaks discoloration etc.
No abnormal (burned) scent/odor from any components either.
I will put it back together, double check all connectors and run the test again tonight.
Connectors Voltage - do you mean board connectors? IN and OUT from particular boards ? |

Also was unsuccessful in finding a service manual - any hints ? |

Left click shop jimmy link;
Left click small picture of the rear/foil side;
Left click now larger picture of the rear/foil side;
Left click RIGHT EDGE near center.
OR
CN2002 Pins 6-10 = 24V
CN2003 Pin 1 = P_ON
Pin 7 = +5VSB
Pins 10-11 = +12V

CN2002 Pins 6-10 = 24V connects directly to CN1 on I320B1-16A BOARD BACKLIGHT INVERTER 27-D008101
CN2003 connects directly to CN2001 on Main Motherboard 07278-1 48.71C01.011
where should I see 24V and 12 V, between Neutral from 110V connector and particular pins ?
I assume we are talking about AC ?
Pin7 +5VSB => Stand By Voltage.
Pin 1 = P_ON - power on ?
Don't want to sound "Blond" but need to make sure before I will put my hands on the multimeter and will expect certain measurements.

I assume we are talking about AC ? DC Volts, usually measured referenced to chassis ground, but if in doubt, measure to a ground pin of the connector in question.
Pin7 +5VSB => Stand By Voltage. is 5 volts DC as long as the set is plugged into an AC outlet.
Pin 1 = P_ON - power on ? when set is first plugged in is one value - when you command set to POWER on changes (and remains) at another. The underbar ('_') usually means 'active low,' but the changing state upon command is the important part.

DISREGARD my previous reply please ! - It was not thinking clearly
I've got DC 24V and 12V on corresponding pins from power supply while TV is working normally.
As I type - waiting for TV to start breaking the pics and receck the DC Voltage on corresponding pins again.
Problem is that last time that TV was working without any problems all day long....
Time will tell |
