Humax IRCI-5400Z no Power

Help would be verry mutch appreciated.
Wilst watching the SOCCER the unit switched momentary to card identification (orig.optus card) shortly after, the front display went off.
Unpluging & switching P/S on - off, did not help.
With power on, two smal light points on the left side of the display panel are plinking and a relay can be heard switching in unison with the blinking.
Could it be the power supply transformer ?
