MY TV POWERS OFF AFTER A FEW SECONDS. IF I SWITCH ON AND OFF SEVERAL TIMES THEN EVENTUALLY THE SET STAYS ON. HAS ANYONE ANY CLUES?

replace ALL the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply and this will fix your poor start up.
