|
|
Hi,
we have a big Philips widescreen TV, it is about 5 years old.
It has recently startyed randomly turning itself onto standby, repeatedly. Sometimes it will do it once, we switch it back on, and it's fine... other times it will repeatedly do it every minute or so for half an hour or so.
We noticed that it started doing this around the time that my dad was doing heavy amounts of scanning in the same room - could it have something to do with the electromagnetic field of the scanner interfiering with the infra-red reciever? We think that the tv might be thinking it is recieving a signal to go to standby, what do you think?
And what do you suggest we do about it?!
(aside from throwing the tv out the window in frustration!)
Thanks |
