Sony tv repair help, model kv-32dx30u

Watching tv last night and the sound and picture went off all i get now is a high pitched noise can anyone help?

Not really, the squeeling you hear is the power supply trying to work with a shorted load. The most likely cause is a shorted horizontal output transistor. Which may have shorted because of intermittent connections on the horizontal drive transformer. Of course, that's all speculation. Good luck.

line output transistor failure on this particular model is often due to line output transformer failure, not cheap to repair! if lop transistor use a GENUINE sony part only as reliability on copies is pathetic.
