Minnie (or who ever wants to chime in), I'm having trouble locating CN3GBN. I found the GBN board, just not CN3 connector. What scares me is that when I unplug CN00A from the back of the TV, the system goes into safe mode and I hear, what I assume is a overload protector, go into safe mode by clicking and eventually shutting the system down. Is it possbile that all three boards are fried? What other possibilities are we looking at here? In any case, I'm going to download a service manual. Any suggestions as to where I should download one?

I bought a service bulletin for my projection TV. It says the following:

Symptom:
Either Red, Green or Blue is not projected on the display.
Cause:
The video output IC (IC1001, IC2001 or IC3001 on CRT SOCKET PWB) is damaged due to the electric
discharge in the CRT.
Solution:
1. Replace the damaged IC (Part No. TDA6111Q) on CRT SOCKET PWB.
2. Change the following four components to prevent the video-output IC’s from being damaged:

So basically, since all three projectors are down, I assume all three have experienced massive failure. Can someone tell me what the TDA6111Q is supposed to look like. This is the key to the puzzle guys, help me out.

Thanks again for your help.

The thing that scares me is that I can't get any of the projectors to fire up when testing them. I would really like to know where this CN3GBN is located or at least what it looks like? I reviewed pattern diagrams and found nothing that matched that description. Would I have to replace all three TDA6111Q's?

No. With CN00a unplugged it removes the 215 volts to the crt board. Normally when the ic failed you hear a clicking from the relay on the middle board. When you unplug CN00a if the set comes on and the green lite comes on when it didn't before you've confirmed one of the ic's is bad.

The green power light comes on with CN00A unplugged then dies. The green power light comes one with CN00A plugged in as well. What does that mean?

Then it doesn't sound like any of the TDA6111Q's are bad. It's something else. Check the horizontal output transistor to see if it's shorted.

2 things to try. Unplug CN007. It's a snap connector. See if the set comes on but convergence is off. Middle board top right corner. I believe Q501 is the h out. Should be near the flyback on a heat sink. See if it's shorted.

Are you sure it isn't the Q503? IS the flyback the component with the 12guage wires running from it? In addition, how would I go about testing the Q501?

Let me repost that last post because it made absolutely no sense. I was switching back and forth from the circuit diagrams - my apologies. In any case, I was wondering if the flyback was the component with the thick red wires leading into the HV divider. And finally, how do I go about testing the Q501?
