Test ground

Is it possible to test if an AC outlet is grounded with a multimeter? If so, how? The manual for my VOM doens't say and I tried google, but only for a few min with no luck.

Just get a good surge protector, there is a ground lit,if it doesn' lit then you need to ground it connect a wire to a metal water pipe.
