BK Precision 388B Dead

I have a BK Precision 288B. I was using it to test the charging system on a car. The car was not running. I was test for a broken wire from the alternator to the battery. I suspect there must have be a charge held somewhere. Anyway, my meter just stopped working. Changed the bat and still nothing. Don't see any fuses inside except for the ones for the amp termanels.

Any help would be great.
