RCA HD52w140 out of convergence

Okay, so this guy wanted to throw away this tv I took it from him hoping I could fix it. Well it just needed a resistor and hv splitter. The problem is when I turned the tv on the convergence was off. Well my friend and I stated playing with the manual controls behind the speaker grill at the top of each tube for each color. Then we realized there was a setting under the menu to do it so we tried that and now its all out of whack. Any ideas how to fix this?
