20-10-2008 | LCD projector | I have a Panasonic LCD projector built in 2003, sorry do not have model number right now. Anyway it would power up from standby for about 30 seconds then shut down. I noticed the fan that cools the projection bulb was not working so I found what I thoug |
20-10-2008 | | Yes, the original fan probably has a built-in hall sensor to sense its rotation. Fans with such sensors are common as CPU cooler fans on pc motherboards today, as most motherboards require the sensor signal for supervision.
It should not be a big problem |
20-10-2008 | | ' then again, you could get the makers' service manual which will show how to!.'
Good advice !

20-10-2008 | | As far as testing caps, there is no reliable way without a tester and it should be pulled from the circuit. Again, this is not the only way to attack the problem or something for the average user & best not to get involved if you are not equipped. |

this amp is part of a separates system - but it all contects using non standard ribbon cables. it was given to me free... but if i can't get the amp to work it's all going in the bin. i'm not too bothe |
20-10-2008 | | Not to sound discouraging but, the cheap cap testers are not going to help. While it may be a cap, it is still a guess. It is likely a simple device causing the problem but Without any circuit information, it would be like working with blinders on.

20-10-2008 | | How would i go about getting their service manual? I have already emailed them asking them how to open it but they said they don't support that kind of tech support.
