03-07-2015ah i think it has a memory of the last power state, so if i shut it off with the power button, then it doesn't click the next time i plug it in. in this case, the fuse doesn't get blown until i press the power button....

03-07-2015ok so with the board (43) floating, i measured from each pad on that board to ground. some of the measurements were a little jumpy, i probably didn't clear off the solder very well, but eventually all the pins except 4 were reading outside my meters rang

03-07-2015You can check (Q1 thru Q4) between each output transistor leg and ground for shorts. You could put your meter on 'Diode Test' and check the bridge rectifier, if its NOT mounted flush to the board.
