05-05-2007Hi, did you ever get resolution to your problem? I have repaired several of these power supplies. Check the big FET (Q1), it is a "buck switching" driver, good chance it may be shorted. The big cap (C7) may need replaced also, look for a

06-05-2007No, a 24volt relay will not work in place of a 12 volt plus it must have the same switching/pinout. And the device in picture is definitley NOT a capacitor & infact IS a Thermistor. Can not recall exactly where, but have seen it used on other control
