13-06-2006Thanks to all who responded. I found out what was causing my pc to reboot. It was indeed the modem! For some reason the ES PI-56 Data Fax modem, from ESS Technologies, was causing the problem with my pc. I changed the modem and all went well after that.

13-06-2006While there is always a possibility of a defective flyback, more than likely it is NOT. If the set failed during a storm/power surge, it is probably an issue with the power supply &/or syscon ckt--perhaps a relay driver txistor---do you hear a relay
