05-03-2007dead goodmans gtv42pHi i have a goodmans gtv42p which is stuck in stand by.It uses a sumsung pdp panel S42D-YD02. when powered up the led goes green then red. There does not seem to any high voltages apart from 5v. Can anybody give any help or service manuals for this set. T
05-03-2007as well as soldering t14401 if the main ac fuse blew check diodes and small transistors in front end power supply.these usually go if main regulator shorts.if still short on q14401 probably short on secondary diode on 135 volt line.

05-03-2007Addendum to my last message - found 47uf Capacitor next to R25 had gone low capacitance (caused large ripple on the 30V supply rail) causing the protection circuit of sk4142 to trip - replacing this capacitor fixed AX-M400 after it had gone quiet.....

05-03-2007sylvania 32 inch regular tvi had a power surge thru the cable line going in to my tv and now the color is all messed up real dark and hums loud when there is alot of white on the tv if i play movies thru thru the av plugs the color is perfect any help would be appreciated
05-03-2007Thanks,I replaced Q14103 fixed the short. tv is up and running,the only thing now have a litle bit rolled up vertcal with good pic and color what you thing? the vertical ic maybe bad? before i change it i'd like to know your opinions .
