19-05-2006I got as far as 9.2 and then couldn't work out where one of the tabs was so put it all back together and gave it a try. Guess what? It works! Pushing the tab back that lifts the laser up to the dvd seems to have "fixed" it. Thanks again :)

19-05-2006My best hunch is it is an overcurrent situation on the B+ line. As the room heats up it causes the failed or shorted component to go out of spec and trip the protection circuit.
