14-10-2009 | | Sounds like a firmware issue locking up the tuner. Call Sony and ask them if they have a firmware update. |
14-10-2009 | | The color wheel has to spin before the dmd sends out the lamp enable pulse. You could have a bad color wheel. PM me the version under the serial number or the serial number. |
15-10-2009 | RCA 8335 combo unit vcr not working | I have an RCA 8335 dvd/vcr combo. The dvd player works. The vcr is not working. I have power from the power supply to the main VCR board. On the main vcr board there is DU 83.... DU 83 is a zener diode. DU83 looks ok but the board is a little burnt right |
15-10-2009 | | If the diode was bad it would kill the dvd also. |
15-10-2009 | open/close | I found the problem. The open switch on the CD drive was dirty ans did not make a connection when the CD-door was open |
15-10-2009 | | DU 83 is on the vcr board, not the power supply board. The DVD still works, even without the VCR hooked up internally. The VCR really has nothing to do with the DVD operation, other than when you want to transfer video from it to the DVD. So the DU83 diod |
15-10-2009 | | After reading voltage at DU83 (diode intact on board and power to board), I found 4.76 volts on one side and .69 volts on the other. I beleive the diode is good. Please correct me if I am wrong. |
15-10-2009 | 50MP1 goes pink and shuts off | I have a 7-year old 50MP1. On bright scenes, I get a pink splotch in the middle of the screen and sometimes it will shut off with a flashing red power indicator. Is this easily fixable? Could it be those caps that I've seen referenced in other posts? |
