I dont really fancy throwing another £100 ($200) down the drain until I'm quite certain the IC's are going to work.

U can buy a VGA extension cable and cut 1 side off.
Open ur monitor and disconnect the connector inside for de VGA cable.
Now u have to open the connector u have cut off from the cable to s|
