Next question - is it possible for a bad CRT to get better with time? 2 weeks on and the fault isn't nearly as noticeable now, and it's not just because I've got used to it!

|If you have already ordered the power supply and do not have any caps or soldering equipment, you may want to stick with the new one.

|Well, funny thing. My replacement PSU came in today. I didnt expect it so soon but it was in my mail box. My replacement was the FSP212-SF02 with the wiring harness...which barely made it over to the main board...barely!

I'm glad to hear the instructions helped you also to fix your screen. I have fixed mine some time ago and it is still working fine. The capacitor-problem seems to be a very common problem with those type of screens.
