|18-04-2010||On closer look, obviously the spindle is of a different type that I originally thought. (Hall effect/servo type vs brush type). So the idea of applying DC is not valid in this case. Also, servo type motors rarely fail.

|18-04-2010||I feel better now, I was able to finally get the case off, I wasn't prying enough inbetween the panels. I removed the shielding and now I see I have a FSP212-3F01. I'm going to try and survey the capacitors and use a mutli-meter to determine some voltages|
